We earn a commission if you subscribe through links on this site. It costs you nothing extra. How this works

Affiliate disclosure

The short version

We earn a commission when someone subscribes to Caribbeancom through a link on this site. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same as it would be if you went to the site directly.

Which links are affiliate links

Every link that leaves this site for Caribbeancom is an affiliate link. That includes buttons, title cards, performer pages and links inside articles. They are marked with rel="sponsored" in the page source, and a notice appears at the top of every page and again inside every article.

Links to anything else — official FAQ pages, legal references, external sources we cite — are not affiliate links and earn us nothing.

What that means for what we write

It means you should treat our recommendations with the scepticism any paid recommendation deserves. We think the honest response to that is to be checkable rather than to be trusted.

So: every number on this site comes from either the official site or from our own crawl of the full catalogue. We say which. Where we could not verify something — the card requirement on the free trial, for example — we say that too, rather than repeating what other affiliate pages assert.

We also publish things that work against us. The catalogue is difficult to navigate. The star ratings are useless. There are 174 titles with no English name. A subscription is the wrong purchase if you only want one title. None of that helps us earn, and all of it is true.

What we do not do

  • We do not invent prices. If a figure is not on the official page, it is not on ours.
  • We do not copy claims from other affiliate sites. Several of the highest-ranking English pages for this site quote a price that matches no plan the site sells.
  • We do not write reviews of things we have not looked at.
  • We do not describe real people’s character. Where we describe a performer, we describe the titles she appears in and say so.
